In these days of cell phones, emails and instant messages, can the nest really be empty?
Our family always stretches out birthdays as long as we can. So, day 3 of K's birthday was spent at the Splash Pad and on Lake Hickory.

Kennedy (and family :) ) arrived on Father's Day night which just happened to be her 6th birthday. I was so happy they made it on that day because that means we've never missed her birthday in person!
We took them all to Tweetsie Railroad as her birthday present one day and to the splash pad and tubing on our lake the next day.
Best. Time. Ever!
